About · Senior UX / Product Designer · 9+ years
I design the tools people actually use on the job.
I start where the work happens: on the shop floor, at the desk, in the middle of the process. Before I design anything, I want to know how the work gets done today, where people get stuck, and what the business actually needs.
Then I turn that complexity into something people can use: process flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and working tools built on Microsoft 365, including Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Forms. I've spent 9+ years improving systems, mostly in manufacturing, where a confusing screen means lost production time.
The projects I enjoy most aren't "design a screen." They're the ones where users, business requirements, technology, and the steps that come after all have to line up before the experience works.
I also run my own studio, Click Click Studio, where I take on UX audits and redesigns and make design kits and templates. I write the newsletter Click Happens. Or Not.
Four habits behind every project on this site.
I ask questions, map the process, and find the real source of friction before moving to solutions.

See it in Manufacturing Scheduling ApplicationShared components and standards mean fewer one-off decisions across every product.
See it in Design System for 6 Internal AppsPeople should always know where they are, what to do, and what happens next.

I grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, and now live in Raleigh, North Carolina, with my husband, five cats, a dog, and an aquarium. I studied English Literature at the University of Minnesota, which is probably why I care so much about the words on a button.
When I'm not designing, I write poetry, make music, and help my parents with forms and websites from a thousand miles away. That last one is where a lot of my opinions about confusing interfaces come from.
I'm open to remote Senior UX / Product Designer roles, full-time or contract.
